Marketing Coordinator

Role Overview

Animal Breeding Europe Ltd is seeking an organised and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Working alongside the existing teams, this role plays a key part in the day-to-day coordination of the company’s marketing and social media presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for AB Europe’s social media and marketing activity across both sheep and cattle.

A strong interest in, or knowledge of, the livestock farming, and pedigree breeding industry would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Take ownership of the planning and delivery of marketing activity to promote AB Europe’s services across both the sheep and cattle sectors.
  • Manage and deliver a mix of online and offline marketing activity, ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence.
  • Plan, create and manage social media content that engages breeders, farmers and industry partners.
  • Support the ongoing management, updating and improvement of AB Europe’s domestic websites.
  • Protect and develop the AB Europe brand, ensuring consistency across all communications and materials.
  • Design and produce marketing materials and advertising, including adverts for breed society yearbooks and other industry media.
  • Coordinate and attend industry events across the UK, representing AB Europe and engaging directly with breeders, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management and ability to prioritise tasks and manage responsibilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable adapting tone for different audiences (clients, farmers, vets, and colleagues).
  • Creative mindset with a practical approach.
  • Good computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Practical design skills using tools such as Canva (or similar).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in marketing
  • Experience in agriculture, livestock, exports, or animal-related industries is desirable; full training and support will be provided.
  • A qualification in agriculture or animal science is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills and administrative competence are required.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence essential.

Hours of Work

This role is available on a part-time basis.

  • Hours of Work: 20 – 25 hours per week
  • Working flexibly within the office hours:
    • Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
    • Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm

The role is seasonal, and additional hours may be required during peak periods. Time off in lieu or overtime payment will be provided in line with contractual terms. This role offers a mix of office-based work, creative planning, and occasional on-farm or event-based activity.

Travel

Occasional off-site work may be required to assist on farm. Accommodation and reasonable expenses will be covered in line with company policy.
