Finance Administrator – East Lothian

We are seeking an experienced person to join our small but busy finance team.

Operating from East Mains, Ormiston at our Breeding Centre, this role is to manage all company finances through various administrative channels. The successful candidate will be expected to deal with all purchase/sales invoices, expense claims and other financial processing tasks. 

Key tasks include:

  • Generating and processing sales invoices from pro forma invoices and ensuring these are processed accurately & in accordance with the finance timetable.
  • Generating and processing purchase invoices and ensuring these are processed timely and accurately.
  • Checking and processing Staff expenses claims.
  • Collating and processing credit card receipts.
  • Answering Customer and Supplier queries.
  • Process telephone payments.
  • Banking as required
  • Assistance as required with office administration

Specification

Qualifications and experience

Candidates will have experience of working in a finance environment with sufficient financial processing skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to providing the highest level of customer service. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail will also be essential. This role would suit a pro- active individual who can work well with others and who has the ability to plan and prioritise work effectively to ensure that competing deadlines are met. You will have experience in working at the customer / supplier interface. Experience in using Sage 50 Accounts is desirable but not essential.

Hours of work

The normal hours of work are 36.5hrs per week and the usual office hours of 8:30am – 5pm. Flexible hours can be considered.

Travel

The post is based in East Mains, Ormiston.  Applicants may be expected to do banking etc and so must hold a full, clean driving licence.

Remuneration

Salary will be dependent on experience. The remuneration package includes 33 days leave (including bank holidays).
